I've given up on liberal values

“Ordinary people see family intermarriage overall as something that is very positive. Something that helps build family bonds and helps put families on a more secure financial foothold,” stated MP Iqbal Mohamed, making the case for first-cousin marriages in the UK.

What’s frustrating about this argument from Mohamed is that there has been a slight decline in first-cousin marriages in the UK’s Muslim community. Not exactly a cause for celebration - it was staggeringly high at 62% in some parts - but something to cling to, because it would suggest some attempt to assimilate to British values.

But extremists in the community won’t go down without a fight.

For the last few months, I’ve been warning about the way our society will crumble. I’m a classical liberal, but I can now see how our drive for total individual freedom has been our undoing. When you are tolerant even of the most repugnant ideas—when you are tolerant of intolerance—your society is destined to fail.

Without a drop of blood spilt, the West will fall. I can’t see any other way. If you have two competing cultures comprising billions of civilians, the one that will stop at nothing to spread its word - the evangelising authority - will win out.

So buckle up.

If you want to see an example of what happens when a culture becomes too liberal, try Judaism. The majority are secular - many are atheists. Rather than evangelise, Jews exclude - it’s pretty hard to become one. Many Jews marry out of their religion or culture as they attempt to assimilate. So, it’s no surprise that the Jews still haven’t recovered their pre-WW2 population.

In an ideal world - and as a Jewish atheist myself - this wouldn’t concern me because the Western world consuming the Jews is one I embrace. But this isn’t an ideal world. The dwindling number of Jews makes the PR war around Israel impossible to win. As our numbers make an increasingly small dent in world demographics - and as the Islamic world grows rapidly - it makes us an easy target.

While the world screams at Israel - one of the smallest countries in the world - that it is a coloniser, Islam continues to spread through Europe. Muslims outnumber Jews by almost 200 to 1. The total embracing of liberalism - my liberalism - will do the same to the rest of the West. It already has done. Tommy Robinson’s Luton had only one mosque in his childhood. Now, he believes there are 40.

Last year, many of us were shocked to see Mothin Ali screaming Allahu Akbar while waving a Palestine flag to celebrate winning a seat in Leeds. Last week, Tahir Ali MP got up in parliament and put forward the case for making the desecration of the Koran illegal.

It’s not enough for Ali that this seldom happens because the threat of death by terrorists is a far greater deterrent than prison. This isn’t about deterring desecration but colonising the United Kingdom.

The worst and most shocking part of this is that Ali has a point:
