THIS is Our Last Chance to Stop Political Islamism
Death of Rioter in Prison is Wake-Up Call to Evil Humza Yousaf & co.
"I never thought I'd see the day that mosques were openly attacked in the UK," posted former Scottish First Minister Humza Yousaf on the day that a grandfather – a rioter following the murders of children died in police custody.
Where to start with this one?
The first thing Yousaf's hyperbole made me think is: "If you never thought that day would come, what of this rampant Islamophobia against which you have been endlessly campaigning?"
Yousaf's entire career – his raison d'etre – is preventing the ever imminent destruction of Islam by the all-pervasive Far Right. Yet, in the last few years alone, the number of Muslims in this country has risen drastically, and with it, more and more of those shiny new mosques (2,000 - up 500 in the last decade!) he believes are being attacked.
Yousaf's paranoia comes from the false, hysterical and baseless belief that Britain's 2,000 mosques are tittering on the edge of destruction. Attacks on Muslims do happen just as they do to Jews and other minorities.
It is a tragedy when anyone is attacked for their ethnicity or culture, and I sincerely condemn anyone thinking of doing so. It is my belief that Yousaf has caused much of this by whipping up anti-white and anti-Jewish hatred and promulgating the religion of Islam in the United Kingdom.
This isn't a wild inference on my part – he's told us this many times. Believe him.
He has passionately fought to afford Muslims political power here. He has succeeded too – his powerful position as Scottish first minister is the proof, as is that of long-serving London Mayor Sadiq Khan.
Tommy Robinson is organising an event on 26th October in London to rally against this. I urge you to consider that Robinson - the bogeyman of my childhood - is not motivated by racism. There will undoubtedly be some racists there, unfortunately. But most will be there to rally for the peace and safety of people of all skin colours.
Another high-profile Muslim politician is Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, who just published her book Muslims Don't Matter in response – with his blessing – to David Baddiel's Jews Don't Count.
A fundamental difference, however, is that Baddiel wrote almost entirely of the prejudice against the race or ethnicity of the Jews. Claims about Jews, from their noses to their economic habits, focus on false immutable characteristics.
Concerns about Islam come entirely from actual, provable beliefs in the community and religion – from cousin marrying to the curtailment of women's rights (that's putting it lightly).
STACEY DOOLEY
As I have often stated, I would be concerned if the country had a fast-growing population of 4m-5m Hasidic Jews, Scientologists or Jehovah's Witnesses. While those belief systems are dangerous and problematic, Islam – for many reasons only a fool would need spelt out – is significantly more so.
Most insidious is the way Islam has hijacked the well-meaning but narcissistic cult of wokeness that infested the West. When I was younger, we were allowed to have this conversation (see Stacey Dooley's BBC documentary about Islam taking over Luton). But we've gone so far that ideologues such as Yousaf now run the show.
Today, the belief system is the only one in the UK with an effective blasphemy law.
When I was young, criticism of Islam was treated with suspicions of racist dog whistling. Today, however, the evidence is that we have a real problem. And with mass immigration, it is getting worse. Despite this – actually, because of it – we're less able to discuss it than ever.
HITCHENS’ PROPHECY
Although we've never seen numbers like this, this is not a new phenomenon. Christopher Hitchens predicted this decades ago: "The barbarians never take a city until someone holds the gates open to them. And it's your own multicultural authorities who will do it for you."
But we didn't need Hitchens' prophecy. We've seen this before.
The history – of which woke people seem frighteningly unaware even now – is clear. As hard as it is to believe now, women in Iran once had civil rights. Political Islamists teamed up with the Left to take over, and the rest was religious fundamentalism, hangings and oppression of enemies of the regime. Versions of this have played out in Lebanon and Turkey, and there are no reasons not to believe the same is happening in the UK.
THE DEATH OF PETER LYNCH
As I write this – and as Yousaf wrote that – news has broken that one such enemy to Yousaf's regime has fallen. The 61-year-old grandfather, Peter Lynch, faced nearly three years in prison for holding up a placard calling police officers, MPs and the media "corrupt". It appears – although I'm sure further clarification will come out – that he took his own life.
We will require answers as to how he was able to take his own life – and whether that is indeed what happened. Equally pertinent is the question: "How did he receive almost three years for "racist and provocative remarks" (he is said to have referred to immigrants as "child killers") when the likes of Huw Edwards – the BBC news anchor who made images of children didn't even see the inside of the cell. How have our priorities become so warped?
The worst, most twisted part of Yousaf's X post is what followed:
